In the past 24 years I have had many nannies in my office in tears and terrified because their employer is pressuring them to work long hours for less than minimum wage. It’s good to see there is some justice for nannies who reach out to complain about this kind of treatment. Nannies in Hong Kong often work 6 days a week,
12 hours a day with very little pay. When employers come from Hong Kong and other countries with substandard employment laws it is their responsibility to understand and follow Canadian employment standards.
